Overview The College of Medicine at the University of Florida offers a two-year, full-time paid Administrative Fellowship starting June 2026. Fellows gain hands-on experience in healthcare operations within an academic medical center, including finance, budgeting, operations, facilities management, data analysis, information technology, marketing, and human resources.
Responsibilities
Project Management: Facilitate, lead, and manage cross-functional, complex projects; research and provide information; utilize internal and external resources.
Internship Supervision: Assign tasks and projects to interns based on needs and priorities; provide feedback; act as liaison between internship coordinator and preceptor; may lead and/or support intern recruitment; mentor interns.
Reporting and Data Management: Prepare and distribute reports with financial and non-financial impacts on projects or business operations; develop data-driven decision-making skills.
Professional Development: Attend and participate in management team and operations meetings; explore areas of personal interest; provide and receive feedback constructively.
Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned; serve as a department liaison with internal and external agencies; manage communications with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Nursing Administration, or an equivalent degree program. Degree must be earned prior to starting the program, except for programs that require a Residency or Fellowship.
Prior work experience in healthcare, including internships, and demonstration of leadership through community involvement and professional associations is preferred.
Compensation Expected Salary:
$70,000
