Overview
Chief Portfolio Architect for Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence, reporting to the CTO and partnering with Engineering, Product Management, and Cloud Operations. This remotely based role in the US defines and guides the overall public safety solution architecture and translates business strategy into architectural principles and a technology roadmap aligned with business goals. Responsibilities and qualifications below describe the expectations for this leadership role in the Public Safety portfolio. Responsibilities
Develop the long-term architectural strategy for the Public Safety portfolio aligned with business goals and market trends. Ensure architectural consistency across public safety products, platforms, and technologies. Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices. Review and approve designs and technology choices across teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards. Assess and recommend technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms. Lead technical due diligence for vendor and tool selection. Ensure chosen technologies support scalability, performance, and reliability. Act as a bridge between technical product teams, product management, and executive leadership. Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure public safety products are interoperable and meet performance expectations. Education / Qualifications
15+ years of overall software engineering experience. Experience architecting and implementing public safety enterprise solutions. Hands-on experience with modern software development, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure; knowledge of Azure is a significant plus. 10+ years in an architect or engineering leadership position. Experience designing highly usable software with modern web-based and mobile UI technologies. Experience building highly scalable cloud-based solutions. Experience in data warehousing and analytics; Snowflake experience required. Experience applying AI or Generative AI technologies in software products. B.S. degree in Computer Information Technology/Systems/Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. About Hexagon
