Perform mechanical design and documentation of electro-mechanical assemblies within the Airborne Sensor RF Design Department. Coordinate with and visit suppliers throughout the U.S. and support the manufacturing facility in McKinney, TX. Follow established procedures and instructions while collaborating with program and functional leadership to meet design and production goals. Proficient use of PTC Creo Parametric or other solid modeling tools; working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles for design documentation and fabrication. Collaborate within a multi-disciplined engineering team covering aerostructure design, housing design, electronics packaging, circuit card assemblies, interconnects, and thermal management. Interact frequently with the Integrated Program Team Lead (IPTL), Program Management (PM), Supply Chain, and external personnel; travel to external suppliers/other Raytheon facilities, typically not exceeding 10%. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience. Experience with PTC Creo Parametric or other mechanical CAD tools. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and interrelationship of components. Knowledge of aerostructure and fastener design; materials and fabrication methods. Knowledge of statistical methods and application to development and production processes. Experience reading and creating mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings; production support including basic measurement tools. Ability to draft communications, create and deliver presentations; able to work independently and in a team. Proficiency in GD&T, including 3D tolerance analysis; experience with Next Generation Jammer mid-band products. Ability to travel between North Texas sites and nationwide suppliers; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a multi-disciplined product team. About RTX
