One of Brunel's major oil & gas clients is currently looking for an expert within Rotating equipment reliability. This role would be an onsite role and would require the person to live within 50 miles of the refinery in Rodeo, CA.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs. Data analysis:
Analyze equipment history, condition monitoring data, and performance trends to identify failure patterns and areas for improvement. Failure analysis:
Lead root cause failure investigations (RCFA) to understand the fundamental causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Technical support:
Provide technical support for project development, turnarounds, and new equipment installations and upgrades, ensuring they meet reliability and maintainability standards. Process safety:
Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including process hazard analyses and management of change, to ensure compliance and safety. Work with operations, maintenance, and project engineering teams to align on reliability goals and implement improvements. Champion initiatives to improve maintenance practices, reduce costs, and enhance asset performance through modern reliability techniques. Documentation:
Maintain equipment records, including histories, specifications, and repair data. Required qualifications
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of experience in a relevant industry (refining, petrochemical) with a strong focus on rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, and turbines. Seniority level
