Job Description You will be a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Engineer at Lockheed Martin, responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time, closed‑loop HWIL capabilities on multiple programs. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions, and you will play a key role in overseeing the HWIL integration and testing process.
What You Will Be Doing
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of real‑time, closed‑loop HWIL capabilities
Support program meetings, provide project status, and interface with a multi‑discipline team
Design, develop, and test air vehicle software, firmware, and hardware, and integrate stimulation equipment into the HWIL facility
Debug software, hardware, connectors, timing, and designs as part of the integration team
Integrate, test, verify, and validate the system and various subsystems
Use lab equipment to troubleshoot hardware and software failures in support of HWIL integration and testing
Interpret customer needs, work with the team to develop software solutions, manage product backlogs, and provide technical feedback to the team

Experience performing Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis and HWIL design and simulation analysis
Support preflight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses
HWIL real‑time, closed‑loop simulation experience is desired
Flight software integration and verification experience is also a plus
Job Information Shift: First
Work schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Security clearance: Secret (Interim required)
Citizenship: US Citizen required
Benefits & Compensation Annual base salary range: $104,500 – $184,115 (varies by state). Salary ranges for major metropolitan areas: $120,100 – $208,150. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, holidays, and incentive plan eligibility.
