Location:
Salina, KS Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our Land Pride Marketing Team to plan, manage, and set-up equipment displays and represent company image at trade shows and events across the United States, including Kubota’s Summer Sales Meeting and the Kubota National Dealer Meeting. This position is based in Salina, KS. Some overnight travel is required, up to 30%. This is a salaried role. Typical work week is 40 to 45 hours, though additional time may be required in days/weeks leading up to and during any of the events. Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Identify regional and national shows and create a management plan for each show. Set up and assemble Land Pride farm, ag or construction equipment at show site using appropriate hand and power tools. Set up marketing displays at show site. Break down ag equipment and displays after shows. Arrange for inbound and outbound freight hauling of farm, ag or construction equipment with in-house trucking company. Identify Land Pride equipment to be shown in collaboration with Marketing Manager and Territory Managers. Coordinate regularly with Land Pride Sales team on space and needs for regional meetings. Manage equipment orders to ensure on-time delivery for scheduled shows. Secure all necessary printed materials and supplies for trade show booth. Manage contracts, deposits, correspondence, and ensure contractual deadlines are met. Schedule booth personnel. Demonstrate and explain products or services at trade shows and answer visitor questions; distribute literature and track leads at show site. Work with contractors and trade show management to resolve problems. Review event billings and approve payment of invoices. Analyze effectiveness of trade show procedures and recommend improvements to management. Work with Land Pride Marketing team to shoot photos and produce videos. Assist with management of Land Pride’s CRM system. Assist Product Managers with product research when needed. Assist Marketing Team with projects as needed. Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or other relevant major; 3+ years of experience in event management or related experience strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of ag and construction implements and equipment required Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills; some project management experience preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people at all levels Ability and knowledge to use hand tools and power tools safely Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Availability for overnight travel a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks per year Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of about 50+ lbs. of force (e.g., carrying a laptop, trade show information, boxes of literature) may be required.
