Product Strategy Manager

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a dynamic Product Strategy Manager to join our Product Management team for Compact Construction Equipment. This role is pivotal in guiding our product lines from conception through their life cycles, ensuring profitability and alignment with our marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
This position is based in Salina, KS. Some domestic and international travel is required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and define market requirements and business needs for assigned product lines, primarily compact construction equipment. Conduct thorough industry and competitive market analysis to recommend strategies that address product gaps and market needs. Drive new product development and improvements for existing products, collaborating closely with engineering and product development teams. Establish and maintain market-based pricing strategies for assigned product lines. Oversee product lifecycle management, including the new product development cycle, ensuring effective schedule management and proactive communication. Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering insights from customer and dealer surveys to identify market trends and potential opportunities. Provide training and information to dealers and sales personnel, emphasizing the features and competitive advantages of our products. Represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings, and dealer meetings to promote product lines. Support and maintain systems and tools for Product Management activities. Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally to support territory managers. Follow all Great Plains MFG policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 to 7 years prior experience leading product management principles for an off-highway equipment OEM or supplier, compact construction equipment knowledge strongly preferred Experience with professionally led sales training in Product Management Available to travel up to 30%, including some international travel At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
