The Contra Costa Health Department is offering an excellent career opportunity to fill one (1) Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist position located in the Clinical Laboratory at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, CA. The position will serve as a lead scientist who will work Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, work one weekend every 28 days, and work alternate holidays. Responsibilities
You will conduct various tests. You will train in various specialty areas. You will order laboratory supplies and equipment. You will write and update quality control policies and procedures. You will review technical journals and quality control standards. Qualifications
License: Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a valid license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist issued by the California State Department of Public Health. Experience: Two (2) years of full-time (or the equivalent) experience as a licensed scientist in a clinical laboratory performing varied clinical tests and analyses. Knowledge: Advanced in clinical terminology, methods, and procedures. Communications: Ability to write and present reports; capacity to provide in-service training for staff. Minimum Qualifications

Training and Experience Evaluation: Candidates will complete a training and experience questionnaire. Those who clearly meet the minimum qualifications will have their responses evaluated to determine score and rank on the eligible list.
