Director of Accounting , you’ll play a critical leadership role in scaling our financial operations as we grow. You’ll lead the charge in bringing accounting functions in-house, implementing systems and controls that enable us to operate efficiently, accurately, and in compliance as we expand. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, is excited by building from the ground up, and loves creating structure from ambiguity. Key Responsibilities

Lead all core accounting operations including general ledger, AR/AP, revenue recognition, consolidations, reconciliations, and month-end close Build and mentor an in-house accounting team—hiring, training, and developing future leaders Manage and optimize our ERP system implementation (NetSuite experience strongly preferred) Establish, document, and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting Oversee audits, tax filings, and compliance with relevant state and federal regulations Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations to support business initiatives and improve financial visibility Drive process improvement and automation across accounting workflows, ensuring scalability as the company grows Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to leadership Support forecasting and budgeting efforts in collaboration with the CFO, Controller, and FP&A Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred) 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of accounting teams Proven success in building or transitioning accounting functions in-house (from outsourced or start-up environments) Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX familiarity a plus) Strong systems mindset—comfortable evaluating, integrating, and optimizing accounting technologies Exceptional project management and process documentation skills Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-changing environment where priorities shift and structure evolves A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving This position is onsite at our Atlanta office located in Midtown.
