Must have met the educational requirements for and passed a recognized Certification Examination for Medical Technologist (also known as Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS or Clinical Laboratory Scientist, CLS). Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC). If not certified, must be registry eligible and successfully obtain certification within the first year of employment. Physical Requirements
Ability to perform/job functions while standing, sitting, walking; climb stairs; work indoors/outdoors; work in varied temperatures; reach, grip, manipulate, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; vision and hearing requirements; ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required; latex safe environment; other physical tasks as described in the original text.
