Procurement Manager / Vendor Lifecycle Manager

Position Description
Lead and manage the team which oversees and optimizes the end-to-end relationship between Ameritas and our vendors and suppliers. Ensure that our vendor and supplier relationships deliver value, remain compliant, and align with the company’s strategic goals.
Position Location This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.
What you do
Oversee all phases of vendor engagement, including selection, due diligence, onboarding, contract management, performance monitoring, renewal, and termination.
Collaborate and build strong relationships with Legal, Risk, Compliance, IT and other Business Owners to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
Negotiate contract terms with vendors in alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve vendor governance, reduce costs, enhance service levels, or consolidate vendors.
Establish and track vendor KPIs and SLAs; lead performance review meetings and issue resolution processes.
Maintain performance dashboards and reports for senior leadership and other business owners.
Serve as the central point of contact for strategic vendor relationships; foster collaboration and innovation.
Support business owners in pricing negotiation and identify cost‑saving or efficiency opportunities.
Develop and mentor all Team members of the Vendor Lifecycle Management Team.
Oversee purchase order and vendor administration to ensure operational efficiency and vendor management lifecycle best practices.
What you bring
4-7 years of relevant procurement, vendor lifecycle management, or similar experience required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
2+ years of management or leadership experience required.
Experience with vendor management systems desired.
