Hydraulic Inside Sales and Support Engineer position located on-site at IC-Fluid Power’s headquarters in Rossford (Toledo), OH. This role is on-site (no remote work) with no relocation offered. You must be authorized to work in the USA. What you will do
Typical day includes reviewing emails, responding to customer inquiries, creating quotes, and managing pricing and order details in our ERP (SAP Business One) and CRM (HubSpot). You will prepare professionally written emails with quotes and supporting documents, coordinate with vendors for drawings and technical information, and maintain accurate customer data in the ERP and CRM systems. You will process customer repairs, provide summaries with pictures, and issue RMA numbers as needed. You will also provide technical assistance, follow up on open quotes, and support sales and purchasing activities. You may interact with customers via phone and email, build relationships, and potentially up-sell or cross-sell when appropriate. You will coordinate with Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Marketing, and the President to provide technical support, quoting, sales, and purchasing. You will reference drawings or spec sheets to estimate shipping costs and determine appropriate packaging and freight pricing where required. Travel may be required for project-related work or trade shows (approximately 0% to 5% per year). Primary responsibilities
Maintain expert knowledge of IC products, their function, and use Create, update, and maintain current and prospective customer information in the ERP/CRM system (SAP Business One and HubSpot) including sales, quotes, purchasing, and customer status Provide technical assistance to Customers, Outside Sales, and Customer Service Process sales documents on behalf of Outside Sales Coordinate with vendors for technical assistance, pricing, and ordering Review leads/inquiries and follow up Follow up on open quotes Present products and services professionally using samples or materials and highlight salable features Stay up to date on sales skills, professional knowledge, and self-training Job requirements and personal attributes
Exceptional communication, writing, listening, time management, and presentation skills with professional grammar across all customer types Attention to detail Ability to understand customer needs by asking appropriate questions Strong computer skills: typing, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, ERP, and CRM software Self-starter, self-motivated, and disciplined Demonstrates enthusiasm, perseverance, reliability, and high ethical standards Ability to read technical documents and engineering prints Ability to travel overnight and internationally up to 5% travel Valid driver’s license Spanish language proficiency desired but not required Must be a US citizen or have permanent resident status Willingness to acquire Fluid Power Specialist Certification (CFPE, CFPHS, CFPS, CFPSD) Seniorities and employment type
