We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative with a strong background in fluid power. This role manages day-to-day sales activity for a set group of dedicated accounts, collaborates with outside sales, supports customer needs, drives growth, and ensures service excellence. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in fluid power solutions and account management.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with products and service.
Collaborate closely with outside sales to coordinate customer strategy, provide technical support, and help identify growth opportunities.
Prepare and process quotes, orders, returns, and technical inquiries efficiently and accurately using our ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Tribute, HubSpot).
Provide technical support and product recommendations tailored to customer applications in hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control.
Track and manage open quotes, proactively following up with customers and outside reps to convert opportunities.
Monitor customer order patterns and work with procurement and operations to ensure adequate stock and timely deliveries.
Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally, escalating as necessary.
Maintain accurate customer data and communications in the CRM system.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in fluid power sales or technical support, preferably with dedicated or named accounts.
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, components, and applications.
Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with ERP and CRM systems (Tribute and HubSpot experience a plus).
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree or certification in fluid power, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Inside sales experience with a distributor or manufacturer in the industrial sector.
Knowledge of manufacturers such as Parker Hannifin, Eaton, Bosch Rexroth, or similar.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a sedentary office environment, including considerable time spent at a desk using a computer terminal. Movement about the office and standing are required occasionally.
