Essential Responsibilities Conduct timely assessments of merchant credit risk throughout the merchant life cycle Analyze financial and bank statements to evaluate creditworthiness and assess merchant financial health Estimate financial exposure and recommend risk mitigation measures where necessary Communicate risk insights and recommendations effectively with cross-functional stakeholders Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails of underwriting assessments Monitor portfolio segments and track seller performance to identify risks and opportunities Stay current on industry trends and credit risk best practices to inform decision-making Facilitate or participate in special assignments and projects to support business initiatives Qualifications 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Credit Underwriting to join our Holistic Onboarding and Underwriting team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing and streamlining customer onboarding and underwriting processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. Meet our team: You will join PayPal’s Holistic Onboarding and Underwriting Americas team. You will partner with teammates and other business stakeholders to ensure that risk to PayPal and its merchants are mitigated. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
