Overview

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the organization’s financial assets, liabilities, and activities, with a specific focus on revenue and deferred revenue. The Senior Accountant performs daily accounting functions to include recording transactions and reporting results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); analyzing and reconciling accounts; researching transactions; preparing ad hoc financial reports; and maintaining adequate accounting records. Accountabilities

Program Management Project Management Business Advisor to Units Financial Reporting Tax & Audit Support Essential Functions

Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure each happens in a timely manner while also maintaining accuracy. Own the process for accounting for various ASM revenue streams, including but not limited to ASM Press Revenue, ASM Journals Revenue, and ASM Meetings Revenue Collaborate with business units to understand revenue-generating activities and ensure proper classification and timing of revenue and deferred revenue Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and recorded accurately. Review and recommend modifications to accounting processes to make the month-end and year-end close processes as efficient as possible while maintaining accuracy. Assist in ensuring financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and support the financial statements prepared in accordance with ASM enterprise and GAAP reporting requirements. Address ad hoc requests from the Director of Financial Operations and other departments to ensure good, clear communication about financial activities. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for job functions specific to position. Assist with the annual financial audit and preparation of the IRS Form 990/990-T. This role is primarily sedentary and involves prolonged periods of sitting and extensive use of a computer and other digital devices. Income may be accessed remotely; a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup are required. Salary Range

– $77,930.93 - $101,331.98 Seniority level
