Save Job

Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Data Migration and Analytics Leader Senior techno-functional leader responsible for owning the data lifecycle for the Microsoft Consulting Manufacturing Business Applications unit. You will modernize data migration and governance, drive analytics readiness, and lead a global delivery team across client projects in the Microsoft ecosystem (Dynamics 365 Sales, Finance & Supply Chain, Power Platform, Power BI).

Job Description We are seeking a senior leader who is enthusiastic about leveraging data in manufacturing environments to maximize client value. The role spans data migration planning and execution through analytics and AI readiness. You will serve as a client-facing advisor, collaborate with technical architects, and scale delivery by mentoring a high-performing team.

You will primarily work in the Microsoft ecosystem and partner with deep technical architects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Data Migration & Modernization (Primary)

Own the end-to-end data migration workstream for ERP implementations — from discovery and scoping through cutover and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Establish a modern migration playbook (standards, templates, accelerators) covering mapping, cleansing, enrichment, validation, reconciliation, and defect triage.

Optimize build/test cycles using automation and reusable scripts; drive measurable reductions in cycle time and defects.

Partner with technical teams on tooling (e.g., D365 Data Management & data entities, Dataverse, ETL pipelines) with a focus on business outcomes and readiness.

Drive Analytics & AI Readiness (Secondary)

Start analytics work from Day 1 of the project: define success metrics and a KPI tree aligned to manufacturing goals before configuration begins.

Position clients for AI and automation by hardening data lineage, governance, and telemetry so Copilot, advanced analytics, and Power Automate scenarios can be adopted safely with measurable outcomes.

Influence functional design to capture and structure the right data at the right quality.

Solution & Delivery Leadership

Orchestrate cross‑functional delivery: backlog creation, user stories, acceptance criteria, test strategy, and risk/issue management using Azure DevOps.

Communicate clearly with client executives and SMEs; facilitate workshops; make trade‑off recommendations grounded in value and feasibility.

People Leadership & Global Collaboration

Scale knowledge via playbooks, standards, brown‑bags, and communities of practice; contribute reusable assets and accelerators.

Collaborate with global teammates to drive follow‑the‑sun progress and improve our offshore/nearshore delivery model.

Continuous Learning & Microsoft Ecosystem Value

Stay current on Microsoft’s business apps and data stack (D365 F&S, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power BI, Azure/Microsoft Fabric, Copilot/AI) and identify near-term applications to client scenarios.

Translate new capabilities into value‑backed proposals: quick POCs, ROI hypotheses, automation candidates (Power Automate), and data/analytics standards that improve time‑to‑value.

Maintain a living Microsoft ecosystem roadmap for each client, balancing data quality/governance with analytics and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

7–12+ years delivering data‑intensive work on large ERP programs (preferably Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain; SAP or Oracle also considered).

Experience owning data migration for manufacturing clients: domain scoping, mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover execution.

Strong manufacturing functional knowledge (BOMs, routings, MRP, production orders, inventory, quality, costing, procurement, order‑to‑cash, plan‑to‑produce, record‑to‑report).

Hands‑on ability to produce mockups/wireframes/POCs and collaborate with technical teams (SQL basics, data profiling, entity models, APIs/ETL concepts).

Familiarity with Azure data services (data factory, fabric, data lakes, pipelines, governance) and ability to collaborate with specialists.

Proven client‑facing communicator with executive presence; skilled in workshops, data storytelling, and decision facilitation.

People management experience: team leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and resource planning.

Nice‑to‑Have:

Exposure to Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Microsoft Copilot.

Experience with MES/PLM/EDI integrations and manufacturing shop floor data.

Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, and structured delivery practices (backlogs, user stories, test management).

Relevant Microsoft certifications (D365 F&S, Power Platform, Power BI) are advantageous.
