Location : Nashville, TN area (SoBro, downtown Nashville)

Four Seasons is the new social hub of downtown Nashville’s SoBro neighbourhood, with access to music, sports, entertainment, vibrant restaurants and event spaces, a Spa, rooftop pool and views of the Cumberland River and Riverfront Park.

The Opportunity We are seeking a Group Sales Manager to be part of the Four Seasons Hotel Nashville and Denver. This position is based in Nashville and is a shared services role, selling Four Seasons Denver and Four Seasons Nashville to the assigned territory. The Group Sales Manager will support the Director of Sales and is responsible for business generation related to prospecting and securing group business on behalf of Nashville and Denver in accordance with the goals and strategies in the annual Marketing Plan and in conjunction with the Worldwide Sales Office’s efforts. You will work with a team including Sales Managers, Revenue Management, Reservations, Catering and Conference Services, and Public Relations.

This role requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion, strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs. A solid work ethic, business acumen and a passion for service are essential.

Responsibilities

Promote and secure business from key meeting planners and top accounts.

Nurture existing accounts and relationships to maximize revenue while proactively soliciting new clients and business for the resort.

Communicate regularly with various departments involved in servicing accounts.

Field inquiries, send proposals and contracts, liaise, and effectively communicate with other departments to assist with group arrangements.

Travel and entertain clients as needed.

Identify and target group customers that will generate business for the hotel without conflicting with Worldwide Sales Office (WSO) efforts.

Negotiate, draft, generate and confirm/sign group contracts to ensure hotel budget and revenue targets are achieved.

Adjust group pricing and recommend group concessions as needed to secure group business in support of hotel budget targets.

Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business for the hotel.

Leverage company-wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for group business development.

Follow up on inquiries and leads to qualify business and generate group room nights and food & beverage revenue to impact RevPAR.

Create and execute account plans for the assigned market territory to maximize group revenue and targets.

Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals, including outside sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined.

Identify potential leads for sister properties and other company opportunities.

Maintain high standards of Golden Sales and Catering hygiene including account creation, traces, contact information, and bookings in line with Four Seasons standards.

Understand and maximize the use of automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) related to corporate or travel industry business.

Participate in sales, pipeline and leadership meetings as required.

Respond and maintain effective correspondence with potential and existing clients.

Produce monthly sales recaps and quarterly/annual action plans aligned with marketing plan objectives.

Assist in proposing and managing territory sales expenses and travel budgets as part of the annual Marketing Plan.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

A Hospitality Management Degree is preferred but not essential with relevant experience.

Luxury hotel sales experience with a minimum of 5 years.

Proven sales track record and leadership within the luxury hotel market.

Flexible schedule to accomplish responsibilities, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to promote teamwork.

Business travel required.

Excellent command of English with strong communication skills.
