Location Secaucus, NJ
Summary The Senior Accountant & Treasury Analyst will be responsible for managing key aspects of treasury and accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, liquidity management, and bank and balance sheet accounts reconciliations for US and Canada. The role involves system administration of treasury tools, managing banking activities, preparing cash flow forecasts, and supporting real estate and other general accounting activities.
Responsibilities
Regularly reconcile treasury suspense and other general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records, files, and reconciling accounts.
Maintain general ledger accuracy, including fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid schedules.
Perform monthly financial closing entries.
Month-end activities related to ending inventory / COGS recordings and reporting by product category.
Support intercompany and intra-company accounting and ensure proper eliminations and reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external auditors.
Support compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, aligned with IFRS.
Perform bank, suspense accounts, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
Support other accounting tasks as needed (e.g., real estate, retail, business licenses, etc.).
Treasury Analyst Responsibilities
Administer treasury management system, including defining and maintaining user roles, access permissions, and system rules.
Support the integration of new merchant acquirers or payment gateways to facilitate seamless payment processing.
Accurately record and monitor all bank activities through the Treasury system, and treasury-related journal entries ensuring timely and accurate entry of transactions.
Record, track, and analyze all bank fees, interest expenses, and other treasury-related costs, ensuring proper accounting and budgeting.
Monitor cash balances and borrowing requirements to optimize working capital.
Propose internal bank transfers between accounts, ensuring cash is managed efficiently across all operational accounts.
Prepare month-end Cash Flow statement as well as projections for corporate.
Draft short-term cash flow forecasts and plans, providing management with clear insights on liquidity requirements and cash position.
Partner with FP&A and accounting teams to improve cash visibility and forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting, treasury, or financial operations, ideally within a multinational organization.
Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP particularly related to foreign exchange, intercompany, and consolidation principles.
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in accounting, treasury, and ERP systems (SAP a plus) as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
CPA or equivalent certification preferred as plus.
