We are seeking a
Staff Accountant
to join a growing accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations for entities across the organization. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow, motivated to optimize processes, and able to partner effectively with stakeholders across departments. Role and Responsibilities Perform monthly and quarterly accounting close and assist with balance sheet reconciliations Manage and perform routine accounting functions such as journal entry preparation for revenue, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and debt transactions Work with finance and operations teams to provide ad-hoc accounting reports Liaison with external auditors, lenders, and vendors Provide support in preparing cash forecasts to analyze short- and long-term liquidity requirements 1–2 years of accounting experience in external audit or general ledger accounting at a for-profit company Active CPA license or CPA candidate preferred Experience in renewable energy, construction, or real estate industries preferred Familiarity with technical accounting topics Experience with consolidation and intercompany activities Experience recording transactions and generating reports from NetSuite, Oracle, or similar general ledger systems preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); ability to work cross-functionally with finance, treasury, operations, and legal Strong problem-solving and creative skills with sound judgment and decision-making based on accurate and timely analysis Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, and teleconferencing software.
