This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Acceptable candidate locations include: Phoenix, Arizona Irvine, California Orange County, California San Diego, California Scottsdale, Arizona The FRM educates on access and reimbursement support tools, payer processes, and program eligibility for AbbVie products. Responsibilities include advising on patient prescription status and educating HCP offices on payer processes. Specific Responsibilities
Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access and reimbursement tools, and services Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks and distribution Educate on resources available to address access issues Provide local expertise on national/regional payor policies to educate providers on payer issues, coding changes, and claims submission processes Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility Report payer trends related to approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams Establish and maintain relationships with providers within the territory Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in rare disease with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement Understanding of rules, regulations and risks associated with reimbursement support services Thorough understanding of payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines Strong ability to communicate technical elements of coding and billing at National and Regional levels Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics Understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in the rare disease space (Part B DME, Buy and Bill, Specialty Pharmacies, Distributors, etc.) Familiarity with access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction Excellent territory and account management skills Bachelor’s degree Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations within the territory "Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience."
