Communications Manager (North America)

– This role reports to the Global Head of Communications and collaborates with the Global Internal Communications Lead, Global External Communications Lead, and the Head of Business Development (North America). The Manager will develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to support the priorities of the North America region, with a focus on engaging employees and partners around global and regional priorities. The Senior Manager will also manage public relations and social media efforts across the region in alignment with the global PR strategy and regional business development plans. They will work with the North America Communications Coordinator and collaborate with global communications and regional business development teams to ensure well-developed, actionable plans and provide advice and support to regional leadership as needed. The role includes identifying and sharing content and stories relevant to both regional and global audiences and operates with a high level of autonomy as a key advisor for the North America region. Key Responsibilities
Develop internal communications plans for the North America region that ensure regional and global strategies are communicated, understood, and engaged with, and that global campaigns are rolled out consistently. Drive effective use of internal communications channels (global intranet, internal email, regional intranet pages) and draft communications, newsletters, and script townhalls as appropriate. Write copy for senior regional stakeholders (internal emails, newsletters, ad hoc internal communications) and manage distribution through appropriate channels. Collaborate with the global external communications team to support public relations plans (with agency support) to enhance the firm’s reputation and visibility in North America and meet regional business development objectives. Manage social media accounts for the region, creating and curating content aligned with the firm’s brand and communication goals. Work with other communications team members worldwide to source stories and updates on firm news and ensure a joined-up approach to internal communications, change management projects, and campaign support. Track and measure progress on objectives. Support other aspects of the communications team’s work (internal or external) as directed. Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in communications functions or communications agencies, in internal or external disciplines. Demonstrable interest in writing, corporate storytelling, employee engagement, and public relations. High degree of professionalism and evidence of successful senior stakeholder exposure. Excellent communication skills: ability to write clearly, concisely, and convey key messages. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities within tight timescales while maintaining high standards. Team-spirited and collaborative, with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels with confidence, positivity, and diplomacy. Positive and energetic with the ability to proactively drive initiatives forward. An interest in technology and experience in intranet, email marketing software, and social media platforms (or related technologies) is an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel); digital media skills are an advantage. Our Values
