Oversees and manages all departmental HR functions for CCI, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluations, benefits, and funding changes across its schools and centers. Ensures compliance and efficiency in HR processes while supporting internal stakeholders with training, quality control, and operational improvements. Advises leadership on hiring strategies, compensation, and reimbursements, and manages position descriptions through workload analysis and job classification. Works with the Dean and Associate Director to strategically lead the College's administrative planning and programs. Develops and recommends strategies that support the administrative mission of the College and its initiatives. Partners with CCI senior leadership to identify departmental needs by creating and maintaining reports to analyze position status, vacancies, and hiring trends. Provides the Associate Director and Research Director with staffing salary spent and encumbrance projections for the College pertaining to projects/grants. Prepares staffing rate reports for the Deans, Department Chairs, and Directors. Manages all faculty and staff variance reports and adaptive planning for CCI including funding source allocations. Communicates frequently, directly, and proactively with CCI leadership to ensure effective operations. Develops process improvements and coordination of processes for administrative functions. Oversees the management and direction of the College's training, organizational, and professional development efforts. Provides guidance and direction to faculty and staff on HR processes and professional development. Monitors changes, interprets, recommends, and implements policies and procedures with the deans and other management personnel to ensure adherence to federal, state, University, and College laws, rules, policies, and business practices. Uses discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems that significantly impact the College's goals. Develops and maintains partnerships to achieve CCI and UBA goals. Serves as a backup to the Associate Director, Administrative Services. Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to eight years.) University Information
