Learning Specialist (School of Physician Assistant Practice), College of Medicine Location: Tallahassee, FL | Regular | Full-Time Job ID: 60158 Responsibilities

Facilitate and oversee the coordination of student support programs in collaboration with the FSU Physician Assistant (PA) Student Success Team, FSU College of Medicine (COM) Counseling Services, Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) Course Directors, and Student Academic Advisors, ensuring alignment with university goals and academic standards. Develop personalized academic strategies for students, with a focus on enhancing time management, study skills, test preparation, and clinical reasoning. Provide individualized coaching and group workshops designed to foster academic success, personal growth, and improved performance across all phases of the program. Monitor and support at-risk students by developing and implementing targeted intervention strategies. Provide individualized coaching for underperforming students, while facilitating referrals to appropriate internal and external resources. Collaborate with the FSU PA Student Progress Committee, faculty, and staff to identify students in need of academic support and ensure timely, effective interventions. Develop and deliver academic support workshops and resources, focusing on learning strategies, test-taking techniques, and time management. Design and facilitate engaging workshops tailored to student needs, while ensuring that all resources are consistently updated to reflect current best practices and support ongoing student success. Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership, including the FSU PA Program Director, Director of Didactic Education, and Clinical Education Director, on academic program improvements, policy updates, and student support strategies. Influence decision-making processes related to program enhancements and student success initiatives. Collaborate with academic leadership to identify and proactively address challenges faced by students at all training levels, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Coordinate the development and implementation of academic programs in collaboration with external partners across the COM and the broader University. Ensure alignment of academic programs with curriculum goals while overseeing the integration of resources. Foster and maintain strong partnerships with academic departments to ensure effective collaboration and resource alignment. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.) Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with college student populations in one-to-one and group settings. Specific experiences in an intervention capacity, academic coaching, and/or experience working on or with a student success team. Ability to demonstrate initiative and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and with accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills including experience creating and delivering presentations and other deliverables using current technologies. Contact Info
