Overview
We are seeking a Contract Attorney with a background in Chapter 13 bankruptcy and creditors’ rights to assist with case preparation, filings, and hearings. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience handling consumer bankruptcy matters and participating in 341 Meetings of Creditors. Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and file Chapter 13 petitions, plans, and related pleadings Represent clients at 341 Meetings of Creditors and other hearings as required Communicate effectively with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel Analyze creditor claims, prepare objections, and ensure creditor compliance with bankruptcy rules Manage cases through plan confirmation, modifications, and post-confirmation motions Maintain detailed case notes and meet all applicable deadlines Coordinate with supervising attorneys on case strategy and updates Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active Georgia Bar license and in good standing Minimum 1 year of Chapter 13 bankruptcy experience Working knowledge of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy procedure Excellent legal drafting and communication skills Strong organizational ability and attention to detail This position is full-time hours will last 2-3 months and is a great way to make some extra money before the holidays.
