We are looking for an Attorney and Counselor at Law to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of relevant legal experience, but we are open to considering candidates with no prior experience if they demonstrate the right qualifications, strong potential, and a genuine passion for the work.
About the Role
We are seeking an attorney to join our team. All training will be done on the job, representing a great opportunity for the right candidate to obtain training and experience. Responsibilities
Meeting with prospective clients to ascertain the appropriate chapter of bankruptcy and qualification for said chapter. Review of chapter 7 and 13 petitions, schedules, SOFA, means test, and chapter 13 plans. Meeting with clients to execute all required documents. Preparation and attendance at 341 Meeting of Creditors with the client. Monitoring chapter 7 cases for any post-filing requirements. Monitoring chapter 13 cases post-filing for objections, resolving said objections and preparing the case for confirmation. Communications with trustees to resolve any issues, problems, and objections. Preparing any miscellaneous post-confirmation motions, as well defending any MFR's or MTD's. Supervise and monitor assigned paralegal/s for their required responsibilities. Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support legal proceedings and provide accurate and timely advice to clients. Draft/review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and obtaining client consent and required signatures. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters. Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the State Bar Association of Georgia Required Skills
Strong research and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to draft legal documents with precision and attention to detail Experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and litigation Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Pay range and compensation package
