Manager, Account Lead | Global Beauty Company Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Account Lead for a reputable beauty brand. Primary Accounts will be Sephora, Sephora @ Kohl’s and Amazon, to lead and drive the strategic growth and business development to this partnership. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing the Sephora account, overseeing key account strategies, and ensuring the brand’s presence is maximized across all Sephora touchpoints (retail, online, and in-store). You will collaborate closely with Sephora’s teams and internal departments (Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Operations) to drive sales, improve product visibility, and execute best-in-class retail activations that align with our brand strategy. Additional account responsibilities include Sephora within Kohls and Amazon.

As a Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for the Accounts, leading business reviews, negotiating agreements, and implementing strategies that help the brand achieve sales growth, customer engagement, and long-term partnership success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail account management within the beauty industry, a deep understanding of Sephora’s business model, and a passion for driving results through strategic collaboration and execution.

This is a temporary role starting ASAP lasting until end of April 2026 with the ability to extend based on performance and the business needs of the team. The role offers part time hours, Monday-Thursday 9:00-5:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break daily totaling 32 hours weekly. Ideally, this individual will operate off a hybrid schedule on-site 3x per week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) in the brand's office located in the Flatiron District, Manhattan NY.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans for Sephora, ensuring alignment with both the brand’s and Sephora’s objectives.

Manage and strengthen the partnership with Sephora by fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retail buyers, marketing teams, and field leadership.

Define and drive sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Sephora, ensuring alignment with broader company goals and objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams to align on product assortment, media strategies, pricing strategies, and promotional calendars tailored to Sephora’s customer base and retail landscape.

Lead regular business reviews with Sephora, presenting performance updates, sales analyses, market insights, and future opportunities to optimize growth.

Drive top-line sales growth by optimizing product availability, positioning, and promotional strategies within Sephora stores and on Sephora’s online platforms.

Ensure that the brand’s products are accurately represented in Sephora stores and e-commerce, meeting visual merchandising standards and inventory requirements.

Monitor and evaluate product performance across all Sephora channels, analyzing sell-through data, inventory turnover, and promotional success.

Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve sell-through rates, improve productivity and enhance the customer experience in-store and online.

Manage pricing and promotional negotiations with Sephora to ensure profitability while maintaining competitiveness within the beauty market.

Marketing & Promotional Activations

Collaborate with Sephora’s marketing teams to develop tailored, impactful campaigns and activations that resonate with Sephora’s customer base and align with brand objectives.

Oversee the execution of promotional activities, product launches, and seasonal events in Sephora stores and on Sephora’s digital platforms with a focus on driving heroes.

Work with Sephora’s in-store teams to plan and execute visual merchandising, POP displays, sampling programs, and other marketing initiatives to drive product awareness and sales.

Ensure effective implementation of marketing campaigns by aligning Sephora’s communication strategies with internal brand marketing initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with internal teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Education and Operations to ensure that Sephora’s needs and expectations are met, from product launches to distribution schedules.

Work with internal product teams to ensure the right products are being launched and positioned to meet Sephora’s customer demands.

Collaborate with planning and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and ensure timely delivery of products to Sephora locations.

Support the Sephora team with sales training, providing staff with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively sell the brand’s products. Partner closely with field team leadership to drive in-store execution.

Retail Insights & Reporting

Analyze Sephora’s sales performance data, market trends, and consumer feedback to identify opportunities and recommend actionable strategies.

Provide regular performance reports and presentations to senior management, outlining key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Track and report on competitor activities and market conditions to inform strategic decisions.

Utilize consumer and sales data to help optimize product offerings, placement strategies, and promotional efforts.

Budget & Financial Management

Manage budgets for Sephora-related activities, ensuring that marketing programs, promotions, and events are executed within financial guidelines.

Work closely with the finance team to forecast revenue and manage trade spends efficiently. Accurately forecast retail sales plans and adjust based on trends.

Evaluate the ROI on all marketing and promotional activities with Sephora, ensuring the optimization of budget spend.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in account management, retail partnerships, or sales management, with a proven track record in the beauty industry, preferably working with Sephora or similar premium beauty retailers.

Strong experience in managing retail partnerships, sales forecasting, and developing account-specific business strategies.

Familiarity with Sephora’s business model, store operations, and online platform.

Strong experience in managing and executing marketing campaigns, promotional events, and product launches in a retail environment.

Familiarity with Sephora @ Kohl’s and Amazon a plus.
