Pharmacist - Full Time, Nights (Culver City) Join to apply for the Pharmacist - Full Time, Nights (Culver City) role at Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc.
Responsibilities Reads, interprets and verifies physician orders. Assess medication orders initially and ongoing for appropriateness. Prepare and distribute drugs to patients and ensure optimal formulary compliance.
Accurately compounds and dispenses extemporaneous preparations and controlled substances. Prepare parenteral products using aseptic technique. Implement age-related therapy, pharmacokinetics dosing, and document drug therapy interventions.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure correct drug and dosage form for the patient age group. Work with nursing to evaluate therapy effectiveness. Participate as an active member of the Code Blue Team.
Perform day-to-day drug distribution tasks, order entry, processing and verification. Supervise technicians and participate in inventory control as assigned by the supervisor/director.
Actively participate in training/education of new and existing staff. Participate in clinical rounds and meetings/programs to promote patient care and optimal drug therapy.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Two (2) years of experience in clinical pharmacy or a residency program.
Licensed by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications Pharm.D. and post-doctoral residency.

Min - $81.56 | Max - $109.57

Now at 420 beds, SCH-CC is a general acute care hospital that utilizes many of the latest medical treatments and technologies. The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient acute care services, including an orthopedic center, cardiovascular services, acute rehabilitation, sub-acute care, psychiatric care and chemical dependency programs. Additionally, SCH-CC operates a 24-hour emergency services center, which serves as a paramedic receiving station and is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and nurse specialists.
