The Houston-based

Sr. Regulatory Compliance Associate

supports the compliance obligations of fossil fuel and renewable energy generation sites throughout the NERC Regional Reliability Entity network (MRO, NPCC, RFC, SERC, TRE, WECC). CAMS is seeking an individual with a background in engineering, computer science, or a related field with 3-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has experience in power generation/distribution, and is familiar with NERC. Responsibilities

Supports facility personnel with all NERC, Regional Reliability Entities (WECC, SPP, TRE, etc.), and PUC issues that impact facility operations. Responsible for the timely preparation, oversight, and/or submittal of routine and non-routine reports to EIA, NERC, FERC, and other applicable entities. Monitors compliance programs and ensures all registered entity functions are compliant with those programs. Evaluates, develops, and recommends new programs for integration into facility operations. Reviews and updates as needed, site Facility Ratings and Protection System Maintenance Program Conducts compliance reviews and offers/implements recommendations for changes to enhance regulatory compliance. Communicates with representatives of NERC and applicable entities on behalf of the facilities. Assists with the training of personnel regarding regulatory programs. Carries out complex projects and assignments independently. Oversees contractor and vendor regulatory-related tasks and adherence to compliance programs. Maintains project regulatory records and filing system. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or 4+ years of industry experience. Experience: 3+ years in NERC compliance or a related industry. Knowledge: Power plant operations, NERC/FERC/WECC regulations, and reporting requirements. Technical: Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and compliance tracking tools. Travel: Overnight and short-term travel on company business is an expected part of this position, 25% travel to other facilities and off-site activities. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs., work in industrial environments, and perform occasional physical tasks. Summary
