To support this growth, we are seeking a Trading Analyst – Biofuels & Renewables to join a proprietary trading team based in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and updating biofuels, RINs, and feedstock balance sheets, conducting detailed country-level production, consumption, and trade analysis using historical data, current estimates, and forward projections.

Develop and communicate a comprehensive understanding of all factors affecting supply and demand, including mandates, regulations, government policy, imports, domestic production, consumption, and other relevant drivers.

Network and liaise with industry participants, analysts, and data providers to establish and maintain reliable sources of market intelligence.

Participate in and contribute to global supply and demand meetings, supporting strategic and trading decision-making.

Assist in developing, maintaining, and analysing data models and forecasts that underpin assessments of supply, demand, prices, production costs, and other key indicators.

Identify trade opportunities based on fundamental market analysis and provide trade recommendations.

Qualifications / Experience

5–10 years’ experience in agriculture commodities, feedstock, fuels and energy supply/demand analysis, or related global market dynamics.

Strong attention to detail and analytical rigour in collecting and maintaining statistical data.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to recognise patterns, draw insights, and make sound recommendations based on data.

Technical proficiency in Python, R, Excel, and other analytical tools.

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

A strong interest in the agricultural commodities and renewables market, with a proactive and learning-oriented mindset.
