Position Summary A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for a position on our Trading team located in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Vice President, Cotton Trading.
Position Responsibilities
Receive orders from Cash traders across the world and place the orders as instructed, with proper tags.
Update orders as per the requirement of the traders.
Apply discretion and watch the market activity to get the best fills.
Record and upload all the trades done during the day into proprietary position managements systems.
Prepare daily reports showing the execution done, pending orders, and end of day positions across all the books.
Prepare regulatory and compliance reports.
Prepare and analyze the cotton risk and position reports for Olam Agri’s Cotton Americas business units.
Liaise with the Global Middle Office to resolve trade discrepancies.
Collect and collate data from various sources and formats.
Prepare reports for dissemination to Global Trading Team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic programming ability (Python, Data Scraping) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively and honestly with employees at all levels.
Ability to work with a diverse team across many geographies.
Ability to work under pressure without losing focus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality.
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Requirements
One (1) year of work experience preferably in a trade execution or hedging role within a hedge fund or trade house.
