Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer you’ll be at the forefront of aerospace and additive manufacturing technologies. You will own and improve the manufacturing processes and reporting for a growing advanced manufacturing site, and ensure processes meet AS9100 certification. This role includes daily production scheduling support to meet monthly goals and collaboration with engineering and sales teams to assess manufacturing requirements, provide feedback on cost and feasibility of inspection limits. This role reports to the Engineering Manager. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas. Assure the safe execution of all manufacturing and utility activities, ensuring all Plant activities follow safety procedures and promoting a safe work environment through own behavior. Develop manufacturing reporting processes and lead integration of manufacturing processes into ERP and/or MES systems. Work with sales and engineering to assess incoming opportunities, determine manufacturing requirements, and support quoting of internal and external manufacturing costs while meeting qualification requirements. Assess and audit existing or potential operator abilities. Ensure all quality requirements are met daily by the manufacturing team. Review printed hardware for conformance to supplier or internal requirements at multiple stages (e.g., post-print, post heat treat, final inspection). Actively participate in team problem solving, process improvement, and decisions. Lead internal efforts to enhance quoting, design, or manufacturing workflows. Over time, mentor, teach, and serve as an engineering technical resource for the organization. Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular, punctual attendance. Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task. Previous aerospace quality experience. Mastercam experience up to and including 5-axis programming. Experience with manufacturing/CNC machining processes. Qualifications
+10 years of working in a manufacturing environment in quality/technical roles. Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations. Works independently, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business and ensure quality products are delivered on time. Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Work Environment
This job operates in a professional additive manufacturing, traditional manufacturing, and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as printers, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical Demands
