Position Overview We’re seeking a
Quality Engineer
to ensure product quality, support root cause investigations, and drive corrective actions. This role works closely with production, engineering, and customers to maintain high standards and continuous improvement throughout all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
Create and update control plans, FMEAs, and inspection documentation.
Support new part launches (PPAP, capability studies).
Maintain gage calibration and measurement tool verification.
Conduct internal audits and assist with customer or external audits.
Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues and incoming inspection.
Track and analyze scrap and rework data to identify improvements.
Provide training and technical guidance to quality and production teams.
Communicate directly with customers on quality matters as needed.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering (metal fabrication, stamping, or machining preferred).
Strong knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, and dimensional inspection methods.
Experience with APQP tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with ERP/QMS software.
Skilled with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs).
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
ASQ Certification or CMM programming experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a production environment.
