Senior Payroll Supervisor

to oversee payroll operations across multiple U.S. locations. Compensation Base pay range:

$95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple U.S. locations (hourly, union, and salaried).

Oversee time and attendance integrations to ensure accurate recording of shifts, overtime, and premiums.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as collective bargaining agreements.

Coordinate payroll funding, reconciliations, and GL interfaces with Finance.

Lead year-end processes including W-2s, tax filings, and audits.

Systems & Process Optimization

Oversee payroll and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday, Kronos) to maintain data accuracy.

Partner with HRIS and IT teams on system enhancements and integrations.

Drive automation and reporting improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.

Compliance & Auditing

Maintain compliance with wage laws, tax regulations, and union contract requirements.

Serve as lead contact for internal and external payroll audits.

Stay current with legislative updates affecting payroll operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with HR on employee relations, benefits deductions, and union pay matters.

Collaborate with Finance on labor cost reporting and forecasting.

Provide guidance to plant and HR leaders on payroll policies and union-related practices.

Strategic Development

Develop and implement payroll strategies aligned with business and workforce objectives.

Standardize processes and KPIs for payroll accuracy, timeliness, and service quality.

Recommend initiatives focused on scalability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.

8+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role supporting multi-site or union environments.

Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus.

Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll and labor law compliance.

Hands-on expertise in ADP, UKG, Workday, or Kronos systems.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.

Proven ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
