Overview
Instrumentation Coordinator 2- East Hospital at Inside Higher Ed. Scope of Position: An Instrumentation Coordinator works to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and or clean all clinic or healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. The Instrumentation Coordinator ensures equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections. This position ensures sterilized, appropriately functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered to the point use aseptically. Additionally, this position serves as a clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation across the Enterprise. This position is responsible for procuring, and standardizing instrument trays across the Enterprise. This role will be utilized 24/7 in multiple reprocessing sites across the Health System, including Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, University Hospital East and all Ambulatory sites. Position Summary:
Coordination and oversight of daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate efficient case flow, through efficient case cart assembly and decontamination, assembly and sterilization/high level disinfection of all reprocessed surgical inventory. Also responsible for projects and process improvement. Promotes customer service and patient satisfaction through effective communication with Operating Room clinical operations and multiple sterile processing departments across the Medical Center. Also responsible for ordering, procuring and organizing instrument trays on a global level to service the entire Enterprise. Responsibilities

Order, procure, and organize instrument trays globally to service the entire Enterprise. Qualifications
High school graduate or possess the GED. At least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist. CRCST certification issued through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required upon hire, or must obtain within the first six months of hire. Details
