Interior Designer – Full Time - Local Residents Only - Within 30 Minutes of Alpharetta Preferred. Must have furniture and construction experience. Location: Alpharetta, GA (projects across Greater Atlanta area) Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid (remote + on-site client meetings/project visits/team meetings; in-office requirement anticipated) About Us Z & Co Design Group is a full-service interior design firm in its 14th year of business. We specialize in high-end residential projects, including full home furnishing, remodels, renovations, new builds, and second homes. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Interior Designer with strong design, project management, and client-facing skills. This role requires the ability to manage full-service design and renovation projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, makes confident design decisions, and brings creativity, professionalism, and organization to every project. Key Responsibilities
Lead full-service interior design and renovation/remodel projects, from initial concept to installation. Conduct on-site visits, client consultations, and presentations. Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings (SketchUp required). Space plan and specify finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and materials. Manage client relationships with exceptional communication and customer service. Coordinate with contractors, trades, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Source products and manage trade accounts to meet project goals and budgets. Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and project proposals. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Collaborate with the design team and contribute to company growth initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (preferred). Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in residential interior design (both in furniture and decor as well as construction). Strong rendering skills in SketchUp; ability to produce floor plans and elevations. Knowledge of construction and renovation processes. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong sales ability with confidence in presenting and closing design proposals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to make quick, informed decisions. Team-oriented, positive, and professional attitude. Ability to travel locally (reliable transportation required). Portfolio required (must include professional work, not only school projects).
