Summary Support the activities of the Lifeworks Development and Communications Department. Coordinate, develop, and support all social media, Development and Communications programs. Will assist in donor outreach, management and support including all donor and development programs and files. Protects and enhances the rights of individuals and promotes individuals as capable, valued and accepted members of the community. Complies with all principles of Human Rights, D.P.P.C., Department of Developmental Services, the Division of Medical Assistance, and all other applicable funding regulations as adhered to by Lifeworks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create and publish content for social media posts. Will monitor all social media sites, assess the use of social media sites and their effectiveness and educate all divisions to work with the Development Department in the use of social media.
Assist with marketing, outreach, social media plans, and create analytics of all social media sites as well as other electronic marketing tools.
Work with the Human Resources department on all aspects of website and social media marketing and recruitment initiatives both internally and externally.
Secure photos from Lifeworks program activities; and obtain and maintain photo release forms. Develop a file plan to have photos available for all Lifeworks marketing and development tools.
Update and maintain content on website. Keep the site current, accessible and interactive.
Design and create marketing and print materials, such as annual reports, annual fund, and agency brochures, flyers and newsletters.
Assist with creation of the annual development, communications, social media calendars, and strategic plans.
Assist with Development projects, activities, and events—preparation, planning, and execution.
Manage donor gift acknowledgement process and produce donor letters. Will become fluent in the use of the agency’s Customer Record Management system (CRM). Assist in managing and utilizing the CRM.
Conduct donor prospect research and prepare donor reports.
Maintain and update mailing lists in constituent database, Excel, and Constant Contact.
Assist with maintenance and organization of Development and Communications files.
Assist with scheduling meetings, calendar and contacts maintenance, meeting preparation and follow-up.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Understanding of social media strategies and analytics.
Strong knowledge and experience with various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, HootSuite.
Strong creative and design skills
Strong photography skills
Proficient with design tools such as Adobe, Canva, Photoshop
Customer Relations Management (CRM) database experience
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience, or an Associate’s degree and three years related experience, or a High School Diploma and five years related experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to donors, foundations, staff, persons served, families, and funding sources.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Vehicle / Travel Requires a legally insured and inspected automobile for use to be presented at work and available for use during working hours. If the program has an agency vehicle, staff are expected to drive it as needed.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid and current driver’s license from the state of residency.
