Position: Surgical Care Tech Location: Chelsea, MI Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Position Description
The Surgical Care Tech cleans and disinfects Endoscopes and related equipment as assigned. Performs surgical care tech duties (e.g., transporting patients, taking vital signs, urine pregnancy testing, discontinuing IVs, etc.). Performs clerical duties as assigned and housekeeping duties (cleaning stretchers and equipment, terminal cleaning of the Surgical Department, etc.). Department
Operating Room – Chelsea Hospital In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually across gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery. Pay and Benefits
Pay: $15.79–$22.11 per hour based on applicable experience + shift premiums (afternoons, overnights, weekends) Benefits effective Day One (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term Disability) Retirement savings plan with employer match and contributions Full benefits package DAILY pay Tuition Reimbursement Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma At least one year of related experience Responsibilities
Transport patients and monitor vital signs Perform urine pregnancy tests and IV discontinuation Assist in surgical care tech duties as assigned Clerical duties as needed Housekeeping duties within the Surgical Department Schedule and Status
On-call required one week every couple months. Status: Full time, benefit eligible (72 hours per pay period – every two weeks) About Chelsea Hospital
