Overview

Technical Account Manager (TAM) for OpenShift Virtualization - Public Sector responsible for being a strategic partner and trusted advisor to key customers. Provide proactive, tailored guidance to help customers derive maximum value from Red Hat technologies, act as their primary technical advocate, and facilitate multi-vendor collaboration.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Strategic Advisor: Guide enterprise customers in the design, implementation, and optimization of Red Hat OpenShift, with emphasis on OpenShift Virtualization. Guide Infrastructure Modernization: Architect and lead migrations of traditional VM workloads from platforms like VMware vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization to a unified container and VM platform. Proactive Technical Leadership: Identify and prevent complex issues through deep technical reviews, sharing knowledge, and recommending best practices for containerized and virtualized workloads. Be the Customer\'s Champion: Act as a dedicated customer advocate within Red Hat, understanding their complete technical landscape and business goals. Act as a Technical Bridge: Collaborate with Red Hat engineering, product management, and technical support to champion customer needs and drive resolutions. Deliver Hands-On Expertise: Provide direct, hands-on support to resolve challenging technical issues and demonstrate platform capabilities. Build Lasting Relationships: Maintain high-touch, value-driven support and strong customer relationships. Travel to regional customer sites as needed and agreed upon. What You Will Bring (Qualifications)

Deep OpenShift & Kubernetes Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with OpenShift Container Platform, including cluster administration, orchestration, build strategies, and container registries. Enterprise Virtualization Experience: Experience with VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization (RHV), or other KVM-based solutions. Virtualization Fundamentals: Understanding of hypervisors, live migration, high availability, and disaster recovery. Infrastructure Knowledge: Knowledge of networking (VLANs, bonding, bridging) and enterprise storage (NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel) for containers and VMs. Automation Skills: Experience with IT automation tools, particularly Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences. Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to manage multiple complex issues and projects in a fast-paced environment. Red Hat Certification: Current Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire. Considered a Plus

Experience with the KubeVirt project. Experience with Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) or similar VM migration tools. Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) or Ceph. Knowledge of advanced OpenShift networking (e.g., Multus CNI, SR-IOV). Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD). Red Hat certifications (RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration). Experience with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Background in software engineering or DevOps. Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $104,020.00 - $166,310.00. Actual offer based on qualifications. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote-US locations, the salary may differ by location but will be commensurate with duties and experience. Benefits
