Overview
Join Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a 420-bed, Magnet designated organization, as a Director of Nursing in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will lead and collaborate with a high-performing clinical team in our Level II Trauma Emergency Department and 19-bed Clinical Decision Unit (Observation). Responsibilities
Have overall responsibility for all activities within the Emergency Department. Provide a climate in which professional nursing is practiced. Participate in department-specific and interdepartmental strategic planning. Be responsible for activities relating to quality patient care, decision making, problem solving and all leadership functions. Stimulate a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and service for patients. Ensure regulatory compliance of departments within scope. Maintain a matrix reporting relationship to the Department of Medicine (DEM) Administrator and the HFH VP- Patient Care Services/CNO. Education and Experience
Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing (BSN). Master\'s degree in Nursing, Business Management or other related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical leadership experience. Previous leadership experience in an acute hospital Emergency Department (ED) setting at the manager or Director level preferred. Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred, but not required. Certifications/Licensure
Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS/ACLS required. TNCC, ENPC certification preferred. Certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Nurse Executive (NE-BC or NEA-BC), or Nurse Leader (CNML or CNL) are a plus. Additional Information
