Director of Nursing: Emergency Services - Full Time - Days/Variable Join Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a 420‑bed, Magnet designated organization, as a Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will lead and collaborate with a high‑performing, clinical team of experts in our Level II Trauma Emergency Department and 19‑bed Clinical Decision Unit (Observation).

The Director of Nursing has overall responsibility for all of the activities within the Emergency Department. Responsible for providing a climate in which professional nursing is practiced. Participates in department‑specific and interdepartmental strategic planning. Responsible for activities relating to quality patient care, decision making, problem solving and all leadership functions. Stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and service for patients. Ensures regulatory compliance of departments within scope. Has a matrix reporting relationship to the Department of Medicine (DEM) Administrator and the HFH VP‑Patient Care Services/CNO.

Education/Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Management or other related field preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of clinical leadership experience.

Previous leadership experience in an acute hospital Emergency Department (ED) setting at the manager or Director level preferred.

Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred, but not required.

Certifications/Licenses Required

Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.

Current BLS/ACLS required.

TNCC, ENPC certification preferred.

Certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Nurse Executive (NE‑BC or NEA‑BC), or Nurse Leader (CNML or CNL) are a plus.
