We are looking for a dedicated Worker’s Compensation Claims Follow-Up Rep who will contribute to processing insurance accounts to address claim issues and facilitate payment or resolution progress. As a Worker’s Compensation Claims Follow-Up Rep you will be responsible for processing insurance accounts to address claim issues and facilitate payment and/or resolution. What you will do in this role
Status accounts and document all work performed in the company and client computer systems. Assess accounts to determine the next appropriate course of action in line with company policies and procedures. Place outbound calls to insurance companies, guarantors, patients, doctors’ offices, and facilities; handle inbound calls as necessary using proper customer service protocol. Process related correspondence from insurance companies and perform pertinent follow-up. Reconcile balances and payments between insurance companies and client systems. Utilize medical and insurance terminology (codes, diagnoses, patient liability) and demonstrate understanding of hospital/physician billing. Demonstrate communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to act/decide accordingly. Ability to collect, create and research complex or diverse information. Provide exceptional customer service and the ability to plan, organize and exercise sound judgment. Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Medical Insurance Claims Follow-Up/Billing for a facility, medical clinic, or doctor’s office; experience with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment (e.g., eFax) preferred. Physician and Hospital Claim Denial experience required. Experience with Adobe documents. Remote roles require wired high-speed internet (25 Mbps download, 15 Mbps upload). Must live within a 60 mile radius of an HCA Hospital. Parallon provides full-service revenue cycle management and supports external clients nationwide.
