Overview
The Global Payroll Specialist ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple countries, including compliance with local tax laws and labor regulations. This role plays a key part in payroll operations, data integrity, vendor management, and continuous process improvement within a global context. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in international payroll systems and practices. Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Process and audit global payrolls (e.g., US, UK, India, Philippines), ensuring accurate and timely payments in compliance with local laws. Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and HR teams. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity within payroll and HRIS systems. Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient processing and reporting. Prepare payroll journals, reports, and dashboards for internal use and regulatory compliance. Monitor changes in international tax and labor regulations and recommend adjustments to maintain compliance. Support audits (internal, SOX, and statutory) by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Assist in the implementation and improvement of global payroll processes, tools, and systems. Provide support for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Contribute to payroll projects such as system migrations, acquisitions, or global expansion efforts. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 1–2 years in a global payroll environment. Familiarity with payroll practices in at least two of the following regions: US, UK, India, Philippines. Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, CloudPay, Payslip) and HRIS (Workday highly preferred) systems. Strong knowledge of global payroll processes, wage/tax laws, and statutory compliance. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communication skills and experience working across cultures and time zones. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis. Preferred
CPP, FPC, or similar payroll certification. Experience with global payroll transformation initiatives. Working Conditions
