CUMULUS MEDIA | Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC cluster has an immediate opening for a full time Digital Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will develop and implement effective digital strategies to exceed the digital budget. The Digital Sales Manager will support a team of local sellers in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach in maximizing digital revenue growth. You will provide ongoing strategy, product support, and digital education to improve sales team knowledge and confidence in presenting digital solutions. You will have the opportunity to use your passion for digital marketing to develop personalized, innovative, full-scope advertising solutions to meet the marketing needs of new and existing clients through the integration of digital products and services to coincide with our robust radio asset offerings. This is a leadership position and will be responsible for collaboratively working with the cluster’s overall sales leadership and coaching fellow sales team members on selling our suite of digital products. Our vast digital media services include: Contextual (Content/Keywords), Behavioral Retargeting, Native Content, Digital DNA, Video Pre/Mid/Post-roll, YouTube Video, Facebook Video, Social Display, Geo-Fencing, Addressable Geo-Fencing, Mobile Conversion Zones, Event Targeting, Site Retargeting, Connected TV, OTT, E-Mail Services, Precision Audio, Digital-Out-of-Home (DOOH), Pay-Per-Click, SEO, SEM, Custom Landing Pages, Responsive Websites, Campaign Management, E-Commerce, and more.

Responsibilities

Resident expert in all digital products offered by Cumulus

Responsible for implementing effective digital sales strategies to achieve digital revenue budget

Collaborate with local management to establish digital priorities and expectations for local sales team

Support sales staff by participating in client meetings

Assist in closing strategic, high-priority digital sales agreements

Provide ongoing digital education through coaching and training

Become a subject-matter expert of Company digital marketing/advertising platforms and offerings

Step up as an effective external consultant and internal trainer on CUMULUS’ digital tactics, benefits, and trends

Own the end-to-end local digital operations process to support new business development, effective fulfillment and campaign management, and client renewals

Collaborate daily - maintain high levels of communication both internally with station and corporate teams, as well as externally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders

Analyze existing initiatives and conceptualize new programs or pipelines to advance the digital team

Provide a deep understanding of markets, customers, and competitors to target needs and drive sales

Provide sales teams the training, planning tools, and support to reach established revenue goals

Conduct market research on trends and competitors, as well as regular customer analysis

Travel between the markets is required

Qualifications

5+ years of digital sales, marketing, or advertising experience preferred, broadcast industry exposure a plus

Experience selling and managing digital marketing solutions for local and regional advertisers

Experience with leading digital platforms

Experience developing effective digital marketing strategies to accomplish advertiser goals

Solid understanding of the entire business-to-business sales process: pipelines, lead/revenue generation, successful closing processes, cross platform solutions, etc.

Excellent presentation skills are required, as are strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize and solve client issues successfully

Time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Must be a team player, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients equally

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Integrated Media, Business, Digital Marketing, Communications, or closely related field is preferred

IAB Certification (preferred)

Google Certification

Ability to develop, demonstrate and train people in all digital products and sales strategies

Demonstrate knowledge of selling digital products and how they work in tandem with radio assets

Creative thinker and problem solver

Highly organized with ability to support multiple ad buys at the same time

Skilled in oral/written communications with the ability to articulate ideas and guidance concisely and professionally

Comfortable presenting to a diversified array of prospects/clients

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; ability to create and manage spreadsheets, presentations, and documents

Capability to design professional presentations in PowerPoint
