We’re hiring a Controller to lead financial operations at their Lebanon, MO facility. This hybrid role blends hands-on accounting with strategic oversight, offering the opportunity to influence performance, streamline systems, and shape financial direction. The ideal candidate will either bring 5–10 years of public accounting experience and be ready for their first private sector leadership role, or have a background in manufacturing with exposure to POC accounting. Oversee all accounting activity, including vendor bills, customer invoicing, payments, credit card transactions, and employee expense reports. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing aligned with shipments, service completion, or project milestones. Maintain organized digital records and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. Review, code, and post expenses; manage accounts payable and receivable functions. Coordinate invoice approvals and track outstanding bills for accurate accruals and month-end close. Reconcile AR, monitor collections, and collaborate with project/sales teams to maintain billing schedules. Monitor project profitability, validate cost assumptions, and support cash flow forecasting. Build and maintain financial models using Excel and ERP tools to support project close-outs and long-term planning. Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, month-end reports, and ad hoc analyses for leadership. Deliver financial packages with insights on trends, risks, and performance drivers. Partner with site and corporate teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Serve as a key liaison between operations and executive leadership. Track key financial and operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities. Optimize working capital, inventory, and procurement strategies. Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning initiatives. Leverage job costing analytics to assess profitability by job, customer, or product line. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar ERP systems Strong understanding of WIP and POC accounting, with ability to reconcile schedules to the general ledger Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset Employment details
