Overview Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator/Representative based out of the Odessa, TX office with responsibility for South Texas, West Texas, and Eastern New Mexico locations. This position administers company safety policies, plans and delivers monthly safety meetings, ensures fleet and field compliance with customer and company safety guidelines and programs, and helps to identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions to create a culture that prioritizes HSE policies. Position Health, Safety, & Environmental Representative – Odessa, TX. Primary responsibilities include administering the company safety policies, planning and delivering monthly safety meetings, ensuring fleet and field compliance with customer and company safety guidelines and programs, and supporting the identification and mitigation of hazards to promote a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Administer Safety and Fleet programs for multiple offices (regional) and ensure compliance with customer, company and regulatory safety requirements.

Review, update, and implement HSE procedures, practices, and policies.

Ensure mandatory training requirements for employees are consistently met; develop customization and implementation plans and conduct monthly safety meetings across company locations.

Perform HSE audits and site inspections; spend a significant portion of time at field operations locations.

Support 3rd party databases (ISNetworld, Veriforce, TPS Alert, NCMS); experience with any or all is preferred.

Generate quarterly, semi-annual, and annual OSHA 300 Logs.

Direct resources and activities to support HSE programs; communicate safety information to supervisors and management.

Document and notify appropriate parties of safety accidents and incidents; implement corrective actions and share lessons learned.

Deliver safety training programs to new hires.

Provide onboarding, training, and fleet management support and oversight.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Safety, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.

OSHA and HAZWOPER certifications; OSHA 30-hour certification minimum.

7+ years of relevant oil and gas energy industry experience; 3+ years as an Oil & Gas Safety professional minimum.

Instructional Systems Design certification is a plus.

Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to speak effectively before groups of senior management, clients, subcontractors, and employees.

Experience implementing HSE tools, processes, and systems; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Ability to resolve issues quickly with minimal direction; HR experience is a plus.

Certified Instructor/Trainer; ISNetworld, Veriforce, TPS Alert, and NCMS reporting/compliance proficiency.

Equipment background and basic investigative techniques a plus.

Availability for a mix of field and office responsibilities, with occasional after-hours calls as needed.
