Job Description
At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and on the phone, contributing to improving the financial wellness of customers. The role creates meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and assists in resolving end-to-end customer service inquiries. This role is suitable for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in beginning a career with opportunities for growth and upward mobility.

Responsibilities
Provides a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions
Answers customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfills basic servicing requests (e.g., new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN reset, reordering checks, basic problem resolution)
Develops relationships with customers and remains informed about the customer’s relationship with the bank
Educates customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM) to simplify banking
Assists branch and team members with basic tasks to aid customer problem resolution
May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with financial needs
Refers customers to internal specialists when more complex financial goals and needs are identified
Follows bank processes, adheres to laws and regulations, and supports branch management while managing operational risks
Contributes to achieving branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing guidance on Regions’ solutions
This position requires tracking hours and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is eligible for incentive pay.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work Saturdays as needed
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
Ability to use a computer regularly, including typing and monitoring
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
Preferences
One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience
Skills And Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to oversee large sums of cash
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills

Pay ranges are provided as a reference and depend on factors such as experience, skills, location, and performance. The minimum/target/median values reflect market ranges for the position location.

Job Range Target: $37,260.55 USD
Median : $42,465.00 USD
This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan based on performance metrics and goals.
