At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, and for contributing to improving the financial wellness of our customers. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identifying ways Regions can meet customer needs, and assisting in resolving end-to-end customer service inquiries. This role is suited for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in growth and development opportunities. The successful candidate should be ambitious, adaptable, and able to educate customers on how to bank when, where, and how they want. Strong communication skills and personalized customer service are essential. Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (e.g., new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN reset, reordering checks, basic problem resolution) Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking needs Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM) Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in problem resolution May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with financial needs Refer customers to internal experts for more complex financial goals Follow bank processes and regulations; manage operational risks as a branch team member Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and offering appropriate Regions solutions This position tracks hours over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is also eligible for incentive plans. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Ability to work Saturdays as needed Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels Ability to use a computer regularly, including typing and sustained monitoring Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Preferences
One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, or customer service experience Skills and Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings Ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to oversee large sums of cash Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills Position Type

Pay ranges are job-specific and vary by factors such as location, experience, and performance. Minimum/Median targets and incentive plans are described below :
Minimum Job Range Target: $37,260.55 USD; Median: $42,465.00 USD. This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan.
