Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative represents the face of the organization to patients who visit for routine health checks or important diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and with excellent patient care. The position requires professionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication to create an atmosphere of trust and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment that reflects the organization’s standards.
  • Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.
  • Verify patient identification, demographics, and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm accurate labeling.
  • Maintain required documentation and records with precision and compliance.
  • Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, dress code, and health and safety protocols.

Required Experience:
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • 2 years working in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Prior customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience and comfort with digital systems.

Required Skills:
  • Excellent phlebotomy techniques for all patient age groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Superior customer focus and clear communication.
Preferred Skills:
  • Process excellence and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
  • Organizational commitment and teamwork orientation.
Additional Skills:
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Comfortable adapting to change and supporting multiple locations as needed.

Shift/Hours:
Eastern Time Zone
Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
