Manufacturing Engineer - South Bend, IN (Onsite) Reports to: VP of Operational Excellence Work Type: Full-Time, Onsite Location: South Bend, Indiana Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only (ITAR restricted) About the Opportunity This is a new and strategic role for a Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to grow, lead change, and make a meaningful impact. Key Accountabilities Apply Lean principles to improve manufacturing efficiency and drive continuous improvement. Design layouts for equipment and workspace to optimize flow and space utilization. Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs for management planning. Communicate production schedules and capabilities to support operations. Collaborate with vendors on product specifications, equipment, and material purchases. Lead technical upgrades, equipment installations, and tooling implementation. Participate in contract reviews for major projects. Evaluate products against specifications and quality standards. Conduct health and safety reviews for new or modified equipment. Travel as needed for business purposes. Demonstrate and uphold TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 5+ years in a Lean Manufacturing environment Technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication Experience with repetitive and build-to-suit manufacturing Proven success managing large, complex projects Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Analytical and solution-oriented mindset Preferred: Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering Additional Information Salary Range: $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Work Environment: 100% onsite at our South Bend, IN facility ITAR Compliance: Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders will be considered Ready to take the next step in your career?
