Job Summary

Load / unload or otherwise move inventory using heavy capacity fork truck equipment according to work orders and by directive of supervisor. The Forklift Operator Must be able to perform all tasks of the Order Filler/Class 1 Classification and be a certified Forklift Operator.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function

Performs basic labor tasks and properly use small hand tools such as a grinder, banding tools, hammers, etc. Works with experienced employees as a helper to various classifications. Perform general housekeeping tasks. Takes direction from Order Fillers, Warehouseman, Processing Shift Supervisors, and Plant Operations Manger. Must be able to perform all New Hire Classification tasks after initial 90 days of industry experience. Distinguishes between various products and grades. Operates small power tools; steam cleaner, flamecut parts tumbler, chain saw, etc. Assists in loading and unloading trucks and filling customer orders. Properly package material for shipment. Operates all cranes; overhead, gantry, and jib cranes. Operates forklift. Properly color code inbound material and returns to stock. Make proper selection of stock for processing equipment and customer orders. Operates all material handling equipment. Operates the Yard Truck. Loads trucks safely and properly for shipment. Load/unload, move inventory while using the motorized forklift equipment. Log and report inventory locations and changes to specified procedure. Assemble customer orders per work orders. Log and tag inventory received. Record pertinent material information on work orders/other forms. Performs other Warehouse or Processing/Maintenance Department tasks, including operations of an overhead crane.
